Jesus Receipt

Jesus Receipt,A couple in South Carolina was surprised to find what they believe to be the face of Jesus on the receipt they received from a local Walmart store. Gentry Lee Simmons and Jacob Sutherland got the receipt after paying for the development of pictures at a Walmart in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. "When I returned, I asked the reception to the film on the kitchen counter and three days later we went to church as we usually do on the night of Wednesday," said Sutherland, as reported by the New York Daily News.
After returning from service in the church, the couple noticed that pious reception was discolored and saw an image they believe is Jesus of Nazareth.
"There are tons of people who will say, 'Oh, we are in the Bible belt," but my question to those who doubt, who else has the power to put their face on a receipt for checkout, but Jesus? "Asked Sutherland, quoted in the New York Daily News.
Walmart clerks have told the couple that the reception has been printed on thermal paper, which will discolor when exposed to heat.

Not everyone sees the face of Jesus in the reception. Some argue that the image of Osama bin Laden or Charles Manson.
The phenomenon of seeing faces in objects is known as "pareidolia," and includes things like see animals and faces in the clouds, or to see a man in the face of the moon. The Rorschach inkblot pareidolia used to better understand the psychological state of a person because they 'see' images in ink blots.
In the middle Ages, scholars called such events lusus naturae, or jokes of nature. They believed that nature was deliberately trying to deceive them by putting pictures of crosses and faces in natural objects. Many naturalists collected examples of objects that seem to have designs on them. With the rise of the modern scientific view, such collections have been relegated to sideshows circus.
